Common Threads 2024: L.E.D. (Learning to Embrace Diversity) Fri Mar 15- Sun Mar 17th
Common Threads is a 3-day Youth Empowerment Retreat for high school students in and surrounding the Tri-State Area.
Common Threads is a place for youth to feel authentically themselves and find community with other students who also seek a space for growth.
At Common Threads youth will be learning about wellness, leadership, self-advocacy and so much more. We will be hosting a series of educational and fun workshops including self-love & empowerment, movement, internet safety, and working with arts. The importance of Common Threads is to support youth to develop a strong a sense of self, as well the confidence to make healthy choices in a world full of tough situations.
Youth who have been a part of Common Threads in the past have found it to be not only enlightening but also a breath of fresh air! They have created new friendships, learned about their futures and how they can help others on their own journeys.

Common Threads es un retiro de empoderamiento juvenil de 3 días para estudiantes de secundaria
en el área de los tres estados y sus alrededores.
Common Threads un lugar donde los jóvenes se sientan auténticamente ellos mismos y
encuentren comunidad con otros estudiantes que también buscan un espacio para crecer.
En Common Threads, los jóvenes aprenderán sobre bienestar, liderazgo, autodefensa y mucho más. Ofrecemos una serie de talleres educativos y divertidos que incluirán amor propio y empoderamiento, movimiento, seguridad en Internet y trabajo con las artes. La importancia de Common Threads está en ayudar a los jóvenes a desarrollar un fuerte sentido de sí mismos, así como la confianza para tomar decisiones saludables en un mundo lleno de situaciones difíciles.
Jóvenes que han sido parte de Common Threads en el pasado han descubierto que ¡No sólo será esclarecedor sino también un soplo de aire fresco! Han creado nuevas amistades, han aprendido sobre su futuro y cómo pueden ayudar a otros en sus propios viajes.
